Major Tom (coming home) clarification please!?

OKAY!!! I'll help ^_^!!!

Peter Schillings sings "Major Tom (Coming Home)" which Shiny Toy Guns did a really awesome cover of for the 2010 lincoln MKZ commercial

and

David Bowie sings "Space Oddity" which Cat Power did a cover of for the 2009 lincoln MKS commercial

David Bowie's song is the "orignal" major tom song but they're two seperate songs Peter Schillings didn't do a remake.

Unfortunatly Shiny Toy Guns hasn't realised a full verison of their cover of Major Tom (Coming Home).

I'm not quite sure about Cat Power, i think there is a full verison of their cover of Space Oddity!

Basically Bowie created Major Tom in his 1969 song Space Oddity - and that character has turned up in heaps of other songs by both Bowie and others. Pete Schilling's 1983 song retells the story and the Shiny Toy Guns cover it.

The Peter Schilling song is a TOTALLY different song than the David Bowie "Space Oddity" Peter's song was written as a "response" to the Bowie song, it wasn't a cover or a remake.

That should clear that up.

The part where i can't help is that i don't know if shiny toy guns covered the bowie song or the schilling song.

I wouldn't call the police on my son trying to protect my daughter, he obviously took it to the extreme but not having a dad he maybe feels it's his responsibility to protect his sister and her boyfriend hitting her is a big deal, I would talk to him it sounds like it was him giving g him into trouble won't do a lot of help but he needs help with his anger management because this could have ended a lot lot worse and let him know how much it would hurt you and his sister if anything were to happen to him or if he ended up in jail like his dad, putting all the effort of being a single mother it hurts that you could lose him over his stupid decisions
