People talk about the 'Jewish lobby' in the US but this is really a misnomer. It should be called the Zionist lobby.

Not all Jews are Zionist and not all Zionists are Jews. In fact, many pro Zionists happen to be anti Semitic.

Israel was created in 1948 on the basis of bible stories. It was armed to the teeth by the US. To talk about 'poor little Israel' is a joke. They have all the latest weaponry that US money can buy. In fact, without the US, Israel would cease to exist!

It is clearly a success of right wing propaganda that many people cast Israel as the victim. However, more and more people are beginning to understand the murderous nature of the Israeli state.

I'd be interested to see anyone on here who would argue for their own country to be annexed, sections of it turned into a massive prison camp, and the local population being forced to live on a tiny strip of land while the occupying force bulldoze their houses in order to build new ones for the invaders.

The Zionist state of Israel should be bulldozed into the sea. That's the only chance for Jews and Arabs to live together in peace!

Thousands of Arabs, both Muslim and Christian, live peaceful and prosperous lives in Israel with full citizen rights and members in parliament and government.

It is th only country in the Middle East where Christians Muslims and Jews live peacefully beside each other.

This situation is intolerable to the Islamic fanatics, so they don't care how many get killed to put a stop to it.

I suppose if you do not mind the odd rocket killing your people . you wouldn't have any excuse for retaliation , but it seem,s the Israels do mind and return in kind what they are receiving ten fold . If it was my country i wouldn't play about with them i would annihilate them . Imagine you were living in a large concentration camp . . let me tell ya, if Americans were forced to endure HALF of the atrocities the palestinians have been subjected to over the decades, they would be firing a lot more than ROCKETS at their occupiers.

They haven't 'given' Gaza back, they are just using that area as a concentration camp. The intention being to systematically destroy the occupants with the cry 'Hamas started it'. It merely proves the contempt that israel shows toward the rest of the world when it expects us to swallow their ludicrous propaganda.

Good question. They have loads of excuses, but like you say, no real reasons.

I pray for a just peace for the innocents on both sides. Hopefully, with Bush out of the White House, things may improve.
