what if, your wife is in critical condition?

The answer should be obvious.

The mother is an adult with emotional ties to the family. They have established a life a home and a personality.

The baby on the other hand is potential. Nothing more.

No person should allow an adult with a history go before the promise of potential.

I am of the opinion that a person who values "the child" over the mother has relegated that mother to the role of an incubator and not a human.

BTW-The mother is the last person who should be asked.

Sure it is a noble sacrifice to say "save the baby". But that discounts that there will be a baby introduced into the world with no mother to a grieving father who will most likely resent that child for taking his wife. Why would a mother tell a child that story except to try to prove the sacrifice she would make?

This is the reason that the mothers do not get to make that decision.

The doctor would usually give a C section.both saved.but if only one could live,they would save the wife

I feel that the baby's life should come first. My mother could have died when I was born. They asked her if they should try and save me before she went into surgery. She said "do whatever you have to and save my baby." My mom would have gladly died so I could live. I would do the same thing for my child. Giving your life for someone else is the greatest gift a person can give.

Yes, medical staff does make that decision. It's always the mother. The mother is the patient. The baby is not the patient, not until the baby is born. We treat the mother first and foremost, then the baby.

no questions asked, you should choose the wife. you can always have another baby.

if you choose the baby, you can't love your wife that much if you choose the baby.

plus, doctors wouldn't ask. they save the mother first.

You save your wife.

Sad for the child that you may lose................

But in reality....if a husband really had to choose then there is only one alternative.

lf the wife dies,because of this choice.......there are two scenarios.

1.The child grows up knowing that she lives because of her mother's death.

2.The husband loses the love of his life....where her life could have been saved,....because in reality there may have been another chance at a healthy pregnancy.

Wife.

No choice Mothers life will come first. Drs will make that decision for you..

However, look after mum you are looking after the baby..

The doctor wouldn't ask mothers life comes first.

Your wife, you can try to have another or adopt.
