Keep as the lowest amount of programs on your computer and use anti virus software.

I was worried about the "April Fools Day Conficker Worm" because it got so much press and was deemed "very serious". Well I didn't get the Conficker Worm, but another nasty Trojan just as serious called "Virtumonde.atr" infected my computer (and there are various versions of this nasty little worm). I knew something was very wrong with my computer and I have several very good security programs on the computer, but the only program that caught this nasty bit of malware was Spybot. Oh, before I go any further, I should mention that I have 2 computers and, unfortunately, I did not have installed on this computer an excellent anti-malware program called, "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware", which I do have on my other computer. And this infection was preventing me from downloading this program, as well as updating my other security programs. But I remembered that I had an old copy of McAfee Stinger on this computer; when I accessed it I was informed that the program needed to be updated. I clicked on the link and was able, to my surprise, to update the Stinger. The McAfee Stinger cleaned my computer and I was then able to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware; I was also able to update all of my other security programs and haven't had any problems since. I am going to give you the links to these 3 programs and sincerely hope that they will help you fix your computer problems:
McAfee Stinger (Make sure you read the whole page; for instance, if you have Windows XP, there are different instructions that you must follow):

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Spybot - Search & Destroy:

The above programs have literally saved both of my computers at one time or another from becoming toast! Another really good program to have, and this one is an antivirus progam, also from cnet download.com, is:
Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus 9.0.0.386

Good Luck!

It is possible you have malware on your machine, best bet is to download Spybot Search & Destroy from www.safer-networking.org
Run a scan in safe mode (Press F8 while computer is booting up). Once the scan is completed and any infections are removed, restart like normal.
Then delete all cookies & temporary internet files. Hopefully that fixes your issue
