Now that I have your attention, I can hopefully get more than one answer.
I never really thought meeting someone online was cool. I am sick of people in public, they are so shallow so too speak.
So I figure I might give a try meeting someone online.
My question is how do you start a conversation online. I can do real conversations in real life, but none over the web, cause I don't know how to start them off.
And if there is no picture to complement on?

Edit: Well if there is not picture, how do you know you're physically attracted to this person? How do you know this person isn't a man?

You will find a lot of people are not as they seem on line.They are who they want to be.They would probably be completely different than what you expect in real life.Most don't even use their real name.
