My boyfriend had a sexual dream, that has disturbed me abit..?
My boyfriend had a dream about being at a friend's party, his Mother was "hot" and had no legs or arms. After he was drunk, he went in and "took it". He said it intially was rape without violence obviously..but turned into regular sex. But after awhile it was just her severed head and he was doing it to her open throat.
Anybody else would tell me this ...Id be like creepo. But he is someone who is very against mistreatment of women, a man treats a woman like crap or does something shady...he will beat the crap out of them. We are both aggressive people, but never violent to our S/Os. I know its not related to that....but wondered what it could be a metaphor for?
Anyone know? I tried dream books...but its kind of an unusual set up haha
(So you know about our thing...we are mid 20s, live together, engagded unofficially, havent had sex in 3 days because i tore a muscle in my stomach ..so been in severe pain for strenuous acts. We normally have sex 2-3 times a day especially weekends)
I know there isn't any literal meaning...but other ideas would be fun to know.
I'm not worried about it, but just disturbed about the idea..he even feels gross about it.

How odd and uncomfortable it must be to have this on your mind. My fiancee and I have been engaged 10 months and have lived together those months, and I am 4 months pregnant with our first child. We are learning how important it is to be connected, close, and being supportive of one another. Your boyfriend sharing his dream with you obviously signifies that he loves, trusts, and feels close to you. But the woman in his dream having no limbs and later being a severed head could represent some kind of detachment he's experiencing in the relationship or in other parts of his life. I don't think the sex part of things is too significant. It seems disturbing at first and rather alarming, but you state that you have sex frequently. The things that are a part of our every day life have a way of being present in our dreams.

Dreams always seem to be the window of how we perceive the world around us. For some reason when these dreams become too explicit people tend to get worried. From what I know, your dream is caused by both stress and sexual tension. I'd advice you not to get to caught up thinking about what this means. I can't tell you what it means since I'm not a psychologist. But I can tell you that I don't think is something to worry about. If it worries you too much I'd advice you to talk with a therapist.

Don't read too much into dreams like this. I would hazard that most people who dream have sex dreams, they're normal. It's also normal to have sex dreams with someone you don't like all that much, or even with 'prop' people conjured by your subconscious - people who don't even exist at all. They don't generally mean anything about the dreamer's sex life, desires, preferences, or faithfulness. Sometimes we even have sex dreams of people we hate or dislike. Whatever sex dreams represent, it's pretty clear that they don't always (or maybe don't usually) represent an actual desire for sex with the person who was dreamed about.
It's also fairly normal to dream about acting in a way opposite from which you wish to see yourself in your waking life. Sometimes these dreams represent our fears, so when we dream we're doing something terrible, it could represent our deep inner uncertainties or struggles. It doesn't mean that the dreamer really IS a horrible monster simply because he or she had monstrous dreams.
Dreams are weird. I would *strongly* suggest to people not to alter their treatment of others based on the dreams those others had. Everyone has bizarre dreams, and it's rare that a symbol seen in a dream can be interpreted literally. Usually they are subconscious metaphors for something else. What things in a dream mean will differ significantly from person to person.

I wouldn't worry to much about dreams of any nature. We can't control what we dream. Something that he may have heard, seen, watched on tv etc. may have given him the basis for that dream. His mind put it all together in a bit of a weird dream but that was nothing too crazy. (He confided in you but most people probably don't talk about dreams like that.) LOL
People have nightmares all the time and I'm sure they don't want the stuff happening there to come true so unless he starts drinking and asks you to tie your arms and legs behind your back I wouldn't worry at all about it. LOL
