Jeff Gordon finally wins! Your thoughts?

Driving the #24 National Guard Chevrolet, Jeff Gordon finally wins at Texas for the first time in his career. He also ended the longest winless drought of his career.

What did you think of the race? Or the winner Jeff Gordon?

Update:

You all had good answers, so I can't pick a best answer. But thank you everyone and good luck to your favorite drivers at Phoenix.

I am so excited I don't know what to say...

Jeff deserved it--he's a good guy. He and his team worked VERY hard, and it eventually payed off. And how cool that he broke his 47 race winless streak at Texas! After 17 starts! Who ever saw this coming? And both of his last place finishes have been here too! Seeing him in victory lane with his team all wearing the cowboy hats was priceless. And after seeing his performance in this race, Jeff Gordon has a very good chance of taking the championship. And I'm still shaking from watching that 48 car get closer and closer...That was a great finish, and I couldn't be happier for Jeff Gordon.

    And yes, GO JEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best present ever. I just returned from vacation and the race was the first thing I watched when I got home. With Gordon being my favorite driver it was the best present ever for me considering it was driving me insane not being able to watch the race at Martinsville and the beginning of Texas. Congrats Jeff. To bad that his wife and daughter could not be with him in Victory Lane though. This is is the first of many wins for Jeff Gordon and a championship contention yet again!!

I'm the happiest person at the moment. I can't believe he finally broke the winless streak. What makes it really special is he won at Texas after 17 tries. Texas has been a struggle for Jeff but he can now say he's won here. I got nervous at the end when Johnson kept closing in but Jeff had a big enough lead to hold him off. I don't think Jeff had the best car but his pit crew got him the lead and the clean air.

    Go #24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very very happy for Jeff Gordon. He races his booty off today. Too bad his wife and child were not there to see him win today.

Race was actually pretty good today. ALot of pitstop mistakes.

I was happy to see it was a close finsih and not a blow away win.

ALot of lead changes, that is what I like. I really dont care to see one driver dominating the whole race all the time. That tends to get really boring.

Congrats to Jeff Gordon!!!!! Finally he wins at Texas!!!!

I am happy because I finally got a prediction right. And also because Jeff is my 2nd favorite driver and I thought it'd be perfect for him to win here today. Go Jr., Gordon and Johnson!

    WOOOO!!! Jeff Gordon finally wins!!

It's been a long, long time. I am so happy for him.

Steve Letarte and his pit crew did an awesome job.

I"d never imagine that Jeff would win at Texas.

Last year really sucked, but oh man did he turn it around this year.

He has many more races to win. Looking forward to Phoenix.

    =D

  • I was at the race and to finally get to see him win in person, and his first in Texas was absolutely incredible.

Congrats Jeff, it only took 10 yrs to finally get to see you win here!! I think Jeff is going to be the man to be for the title this year, although I know it's still early, but he's back to his championship form.

Well played Jeff. Glad he was able to keep the 48 in his rearview mirror.

My guy had another top ten run and stayed third in point's. That was what I call Nascar racing, a mile and a half track or longer. Enjoy the week off.
