Nicest (and best value) Restaurants in Philadelphia?

I will be attending a conference in May and I'm looking for a nice restaurant to take my former bosses. I want it to be nice, not too terribly expensive (perhaps $25-40 per entree) and easy to get to from the convention center. Any ideas? This is to be a "thank you" dinner for all their help. We like all kinds of food.

The best bet is to start here:

    www.foobooz.com

They cover a lot--if not all--of the restaurants in Philly. You can search by location or cuisine. The closest to there is Maggiano's. It's a chain Italian restaurant that's actually pretty good--miles and miles better than an "Italian" chain like the Olive Garden.

Jones isn't too far either, and the menu is perfect for just about any and everyone. It's good food, prepared well but it's very...national? I don't know how you would say it, but it's basically American food...turkey dinner with all of the sides, simple chicken dishes and I think they even have a meatloaf. It's a very cool decor inside too...kind of Brady Bunch-ish.

If you're not attached to going downtown for sushi, you might want to consider Osaka in Chestnut Hill --- and if you haven't been to Chestnut Hill it's marvelous! Also, the sushi there is good and not nearly as pricey as Morimoto.

4th & Bainbridge, Beau Monde. It's a French Creperie, wins Best of Philly every year, and I've never met anyone who doesn't love it. It's fantastic. I go there several times a month and have never had a bad meal.
