Buccaneers fans and others what about this?
The bucs are looking for another Quarterback to start their competition for the starting job, What about trading for Derek Anderson of the Cleveland Browns. He has an amazing arm, Rather good accuracy. Could probley throw the ball a mile and didn't do to bad in cleveland when he was a starter. They weren't able to make a deal on Jay Cutler so why not go for Derek Anderson plus the Browns are pretty much set on Quinn I do beleive. The 6'6 230 pound Anderson threw for 298 completions out of 527 throws for 3787 with a 56 % completion rating. He also threw for 29 touchdowns with 14 ints. Do you think this could be a good move why or why not. ( Also please no dumb smart alichy remarks please just strait answers... )

I'm a Buc's fan and to tell you the truth I think the coaches are sold on McCown. Any sort of deal to pick up a quarterback at this point in the season is something that would not be good for the long term success of the franchise. Only way we would get Anderson is to trade a first round pick for him and I don't think he warrants that much; he's not a franchise QB; he's a good backup with limited mobility. I'm not too happy about the Buc's QB situation this year either, but it looks like something we are just going to have to get used to until we can pursue a good QB in free agency or draft one....some scouts say we have our eye on Josh Freeman from Kansas St...and I'm hoping they are wrong because he's got bust written all over him.

The Bucs do need a QB and Anderson would be good.
He was good enough to start in Cleveland, but with Quinn, I think he would just be a back-up on the browns, so it would be good for him and the Bucs if he was traded.

That would be a great move since they have Winslow who caught passes from Anderson during his Pro Bowl year
I think a fourth round pick would get him in Tampa, Luke McCown doesn't really look like an ideal starting QB
Getting Anderson would allow them to address their defensive front and not a QB
If they don't get the deal, then I bet they will try to nab Rhett Bowmer form Sam Houston State University

i've actually heard that their gm (the browns) is not that crazy about quinn as he was trying to trade him in a deal for cutler. i think the bucs could get anderson with a first round pick straight up.

I think it would be a good move for the Bucs.
Bring in any QB at this point is an upgrade to what they have right now.
