Dancing in Vegas for a couple in their 40's - without staying up late!?
My wife and I are going to Vegas for a weekend. We are both around 40. We like all types of popular music though I still have an ear for old skool rap. Anyway, we want to go dancing when in Vegas. However, we will NOT be out until 2:00 am. WHERE CAN A COUPLE OF OLD FARTS LIKE US GO FOR DANCING EARLIER IN THE EVENING AND HOPEFULLY HEAR SOME MUSIC WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH?

Believe me, 40 is not old in Vegas anymore. I see people in their 50s and 60s still partying like they are 22
The only place you might feel a little old is at the clubs, where the average age is mid 20s.
Most of the "bars" like Carnival Court, Margaritaville ect ect have live music and dancing from like 6pm on. And unlike the clubs, its not a bunch 22 year old girls trying to out hip each other, its a wide range of ages just looking to have fun.

The Rampart Casino is off the strip up on summerlinbut i think you might actually really like it there. It has an older crowd 30's to 100's live music in the bar for dancing and is reall very nice also it is 1 mile from the suncoast casino which you can get a free shuttle to from the gold coast and the suncoast is anoyher really nice property. Also live music in the club and the piano bar. Have a great time while you are here. granmatictac

Iceman is right, 40 is not old, and the major clubs are drunken 20 somethings. Stick with Carnival Court and Bills. Coyote Ugly at NY NY is not bad either.
