Can I rent a mountain bike in Maui for a day?
All I find online is taking the volcano bike ride tour for $150. What a ripoff. Is there somewhere I can just rent a bike? If renting an SUV is costing me $29 per day, i figure a mountain bike outta be no more than that right?

Here's a bicycle rental place in Lahaina: http://www.westmauicycles.com/Maui-bicycle-rental-... . Their performance mountain bikes are $50 a day, down to their beach cruisers for $15 a day.

Yes, there's places where you can rent bikes, kayaks, etc. Where did you find an SUV for $29/day? Most places are like $40-50/day.

The bike ride down from haleakala is a lot of fun! Too bad it's so expensive. Last time I was there, which was summer of 07, it was a lot cheaper.
