I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT TRYING TO GET OUT OF NIGERIA?

My friend is stuck in Nigeria and needs help to get out....they have screwed him over every which way...this was not his idea to go there...but his job had demanded it. Does anyone have any idea how i can get him out of there...they have soaked him for $1000's and doesn't have the money to get out. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS AT ALL....

AND YES, I HAVE ALREADY SENT MONEY, UNFORTUNATELY, HE HAS RUN INTO OTHER PROBLEMS LIKE HIS PASSPORT GETTING STOLEN...AND HAD TO PAY BIG BUCKS TO GET IT BACK.

    Why won't they let him out?

    If he is a US citizen he should go to the US embassy and ask them for help.

    If he is just broke and has no money, then you can buy the airline ticket in his name. Don't send him money if "they" are just stealing it from him.

    Pardon me for saying this. Is this really your bf? I know someone that claimed they met someone online and it turned out to be a scam. Tellin him he was stuck in court, even had other ppl contact her from other countries saying he is a loyal, upstanding guy. The storys just kept getting more and more about asking for money. Im not saying your lying, ive seen this many times over. As far as helping someone get out of a country, i cant help you there. Losing his passport was another BS story she also heard and being in jail. Good luck. I wish you the best.

    i do not have the answer,, i am looking for the answer to get my husband out of there. he was in a serious car accident and is on house arrest in the hospital because he does not have money to pay hospital bill. i do not have any money after i am making monthly payments to the hospital so he can go free, he is in Ondo States and need to get to Lagos as his small son is there, very ill. OMG Can any one suggest something. I Need to get him out of there. Where else can i seek help? PLEASE!!!!!

    I don't think it is possible to get out of Nigeria alive. According to emails I receive every day, every male relative that I have who's visited Nigeria has died in a mysterious plane or car crash.

    If the Nigerian ppl try to hold him there, that is an act of war and the embassy should be contacted immediately.

    Send him some money. (if you have it) Then he can just get on a plane and fly out of there. They cannot force to keep him there. That's illegal. =)
