Buying a needle for my sewing machine.?
I had an old Kingston sewing machine that says Kingston Deluxe on it along with the numbers H310579. It worked great until I broke the needle. My husband bought me a new sewing machine. The old Kingston has been in storage. Now my daughter would like to learn to sew on it.It belonged to my Grandmother. The problem is, we cant find a needle to fit it. All the needles we can find are round at the top and we need one that is round on one side and flat on the other. Does anyone know where we could find a needle to fit?

That's the same shape as my old singer...why not go to the nearest singer sewing machine store and see if they can help you.
You might also look up sewing machine shops in the yellow pages of the phone book and you could call them and ask.
Hope this helps, Good luck!

Just the top round/flat or the whole top before it gets pointy? Because the latter is sold at the fabric store... that's what most machines use. Dritz.
