How do I unlock advanced step on Wii fit?

I know you need to complete basic step 3 times. What does "complete" mean? I've done it a bunch of times and I always get a lot of perfects and score pretty well. Advanced step hasn't opened up yet.

    You have to keep on playing the game until you beat that one, and it will unlock a new one. It's complicated but it gets you in good shape.

    uhh you have to play i think you unlock it. play other games and it'll eventually unlock.
