Visa requirements for infants visiting Russia?
My wire and I had a child on Feb. 19,2009. We are visiting her family in November and I was wondering if the infant will need her on separate visa or if she can be put on mine?
My wife is a Russian Citizen.

The easiest is to add your baby to your wife's Russian passport. It takes a short visit to the Russian Consulate. The child will not have to go through getting a separate passport and visa each time. Otherwise, you will have to get a separate passport and a visa for the baby, which will be significantly more expensive.

You have two options:
1. Since, the mother of the child is Russian Citizen; she may add her underage child into her Russian passport.
2. It doesn’t matter how old is the person, since she has a separate travel document (in your case it’s US passport), the separate visa should be issued for your child.
If you need some assistance I may recommend the travel agent we used before, their doing a good job. Just call RussiaGateway.com @ 212.480.2233 and ask the questions you have.
