Career in Photography...?

Here's the sitch: I just got denied from my safety college in NY. Apparently being Senior Treasurer, a Yearbook photographer, leader of my school's video production class, and having a 3.4 GPA doesn't count for anything.

My ultimate goal is to become a photographer there for a fashion magazine. So my questions are:

1) How should I go about trying to get a job in the field?

2) Is college necessary for it? Do most people have a degree in it?

I would also appreciate it if I could get some critiques for my photography.

Thanks. :)

    1) Your going to need a portfolio regardless of what you want to do so I suggest doing odd jobs for family or friends. Try to have family recommend you to their friends for photography related things.

    2) No, some of the best photographers are self tought. Experience and a awesome portfolio is more important.

I'll leave some comments on your pics. (fear_nothing91)
