The Pell Grant that you were awarded at the beginning of the school year represents the maximum amount that you are eligible for this year.

For example, if your financial aid office offered you a $4000 Pell Grant, you were credited with $2000 in the Fall and $2000 in the Spring. That's it for the year - as far as your eligibility. You won't qualify for more Pell grant funding until the new school year begins.

The reality is that there is very little financial aid available for summer semester courses. A very small number of schools hold back a little bit of money to offer to summer school students, but most schools allocate all of the available aid to the Fall and Spring semesters. That's one of the reasons why so few students take summer classes.

Your financial aid office will be able to determine if you have any remaining eligibility for this school year. I'd recommend that you stop by, or give them a quick call.

Well, You need to Read 'The Fine Print' on this. The Pell Grant May be a 'conditional' Grant (on the condition that you pass the course). You need to go over the application and everything you signed with a fine tooth comb.....if it is hard to understand any 'legal mumbo jumbo' you may come across, use a dictionary.....or a laywer. I have no experience with the Pell Grant, so you will probably get a more definitiveanswer from someone who does have. Good luck......and don't give up your Goal! Well, ther you have it! as long as the college is an accredited university, more than likely your community college is. It won't pay for Phoenix Online because it's not a "real" university. I took online classes at Colorado Technical University, and my pell grant paid for all of it because it was a real college.
