Laptops also known as notebooks, can be used in any car with a lighter or car utility outlet. You cannot use the laptop's AC/DC adapter directly into the car's lighter or utility ports without an inverter. But if you get a special adapter called an auto/air adapter or car adapter, then you can plug this into the laptop directly and into the lighter or utility port.

Keep in mind, if you are only wanting to use the laptop as a GPS, there are wonderful portable GPS devices on the market and they too just plug right into the car's lighter or utility port.

I have never heard of a car laptop, by any chance do you mean a GPS device? It may be better to ask this question in the consumer electronic section.

GPS devices for cars often have a mounting kit with that can attach on the windshield.

BTW, there is no difference between laptops and notebook anymore. PC stand for personal computer, which can be a desktop, laptops, netbooks, nettop, and can be used to describe a mac.

Any one should work. You will probably want to get an ac/dc adapter to plug into the cigarette lighter to keep the battery charged
