It's possible that you are highly intuitive. Sometimes when I am about to fall asleep and I'm not entirely awake I hear people talking about random things, people I don't know even. I think when your not quite asleep nor awake you are in your most receptive state and you can tap into intuition better because you don't have a consciousness disagreeing with you. As for hearing things when your awake, you hear it when you are doing things that do not require much thought--like taking out the garbage--and this time is akin to sleeping. Your not going crazy.

Hi I'm not a psychic but I do research the paranormal and I think I know what's going on. Do not be afraid. in fact be happy. It sounds to me that your loved ones haven't left you. You see, when you die you feel exactly the same as when you are alive. it's kind of like a christmas carol when scruge went in the past. He could see and hear everyone but they couldn't see or hear him. you have these dreams cause it's them telling you it's them. The whisper was probably them being helpful telling you "don't worry it's fine". try to talk to them and if you get no reply try to find a medium to talk to them for you. again don't be afraid you are really kind of lucky.

I used to get experiences like this, my ornaments would move, my posters would fall down, i would get weird dreams, see weird things and i could hear things that no one else could.

I'm no neurologist but you never know what bump on the head and lack of oxygen could mess with your brain. See a doctor to be sure. I'm thinking it just might be a case of overactive brain, but I'm not a doctor.
