I think that animal testing is okay if it's for medical testing. It needs to be tested to make sure it's safe. However I only think testing is okay if medically necessary, cosmetic reasons are not ethical. Yes, I would take the medication.

I take about 18 different medications for heart, blood thinner, anxiety, depression, blood pressure, depression, G.E.R.D., antibiotics for diverticulitis, sleeping medication, various levels of pain medication for back injury etc.
To answer your question, I am not fond of animal testing. But after speaking with someone who does just that at a major pharmaceutical company, these animals are bred and raised for that purpose. She is a brilliant woman who explained the situation to me intellectually and reasonably.
Yes, it may seem cruel, but they are not using stray cats and dogs which was once the case.

I couldn't live without my meds.... I'm joking! The only things I take or Nurofen...are they tested on animals? Actually, and I'm bound to be unpopular for saying this, but isn't testing things on animals just the same as eating meat? I don't condone it but I also don't slaughter cows and chickens...yet I eat the meat the same as millions of other people... *shrugs* plus, if it was untested people would only complain that it hadn't been tested! Its a no win situation.

Well, apparently, there are other ways to test drugs and things safely without using animals. Not everything is using animals.
I'm against animal cruelty too, but I don't know enough about the situation to make fun of them yet.
But regardless either way, if medication is tested on animals, I'd still take it.
