xbox 360 question, gamer to gamer?
well i tryed to play a two player. with the system link. and i used a ethernet cord and they wouldn't see each other. what do i do. i called game-stop and they said that you need a different type of cord but i don't know. so how do you get the system link to work. i know you need the same game.

Usually the Xbox 360 should auto detect the cable and connection type, and adjust automatically.
However, if that fails, you will need either:
a) A crossover ethernet cable (not a normal "patch" ethernet cable)
or
b) two network cables and a hub or switch or router. If you have a broadband router already at home, just plug both consoles into the router.
Or buy a switch (they are dirt cheap) to connect both consoles.

If you seriously don't understand how to figure this out, you shouldn't be playing. Maybe you should actually READ the 360 owners manual. If you are trying to play live, you need a lot more than ethernet cables. But truly, you did not give enough information for this question to be answered. Call GameStop back, or actually read up on it, because it's not too hard to figure out.

What they said at gamestop is true you do need a differnt cord. Im not shure what it is called but you do need a differnt cord.
