Took the morning after pill 24 hours after unprotected sex. Now period is 6 weeks late! Could i be pregnant?!?

Has anyone gotten pregnant after using the morning after pill? and also has anyone got their period over 6 weeks late after taking the morning after pill? or is the reason for this that i took the morning after pill too late and i am pregnant? Basically, i took the morning after pill 24 hours after unprotected sex, then a week later i had light spotting and like old blood (browny-reddish) for 2 days only. i had my period just under 3 weeks before the incident. Now i am six weeks late for my period (basically i have missed 2 periods now). I am usually 5-6 days late on my period but now i am starting to worry that i may be pregnant. All comments n advice are very much appreciated! Just to add, i have been urinating a few more times a day but i have been drinking a little more than normal so i am not sure if this is a symptom or not. Also, i have been feeling slightly nauseous for a few minutes most days and i have been getting slight pain in my lower abdomen before i wake up and at night and i also keep getting slight cramping feelings much like my period but no blood. I have also a lot more discharge. i posted this question when i was 3 weeks late and now 3 weeks later i still have had no bleeding whatsoever! i have taken 2 pregnancy tests a few weeks ago, both negative.

Just to add, at first i was a bit worried but now i am not really stressed about it so i dont think thats whats causing me to be late. Also, about a week and a bit ago my boobs started hurting like when i know i will come on in the next day or so but...nothing! my boobs are just really heavy now (not really hurting) and my nipples (sorry TMI lol) are a bit sensitive but not hurting like when i am about to have my period. hope this helps.

ALSO - took another pregnancy test yesterday and negative again. Just too early to show up?

You can still be pregnant after taking it. How long has it been since the sex? A test should get a good result 2-3 weeks later.

Anyway, you did bleed after taking it, even though it was lighter, so that could have been your pill period, and now the next one is just a bit late - the morning after pill is well known for doing this, usually causing an early period and a late one, so don't stress out yet.

ECP does mess up your periods for a while. Try getting a ultrascan or blood test from the doctors. It's not too early to show up within 6 weeks of missed period.

If you had sex over 6 weeks ago, it should come up on a home kit. The MAP COULD be why you're period is a little crazy, after all, it's a giant mass of hormones meant to trick your body. I would check again in 2 weeks if you're still period free and make sure

Yes, I got pregnant TWICE after having taken the morning after pill. You should make a doctor's appointment and let them do a blood test or an ultrasound. It sounds like either way, something isn't right.

the pregnancy tests should deffinetly be able to tell if you were pregnant or not i think you have a more serious problem go to the doctor so they can check you out.

i think you should make an appointment with your doctor to take their pregnancy test. its wayyyy more accurate than an at home one.
