Where can I install a gun rack in a 2000 Dodge Stratus?

If the belt broke, the engine is junk because it is most definately an interference engine. The only thing that would cause a timing belt to break would be age, wear, heat and friction. Also the timing tensioner may have failed causing belt to fail also. Look at about 3000 dollars to get it replaced. And that doesn't include labor.

Well if you want it within reach. Then I would say dont plan on using your back seat, and install it right into the back seats.... Or if the back seats fold down then put it on the back on the seats and when you dont have people in your car, then you could keep the seats folded down so your gun rack in near.

Between the passanger seat and the drivers seat is where I installed the gun rack in my wifes mini van. I am sure you could do the same in a stratus.

Why would you even let anyone know you're driving a Stratus, much less brag about it???? As far as where to put the gun rack, just mount the gun rack to the mobile home you are probably towing behind your Stratus, because based on this question we can all safely assume that you are 95% hilljack and in this years Hilljack Handbook on page 109 it gives you step by step details on the proper procedures and mounting techniques for what you are describing.

Why do you need a rack? Just point it out the window while driving. People will most likely get out of your way. I hate traffic....
