Magic the Gathering Card, I don't understand. Sarkhan Vol?

I got this card in a booster pack, it's Sarkhan Vol, he's a planeswalker, artist is Daarken. I know enough that it's very rare, it has 3 abilities.

(this is all it says on abilities no mana signs nothing, help!)

[+1] Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain haste until end of turn.

[-2] Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn.

[-6] Put 5 4/4 red Dragon creature tokens with flying into play.

for his power/defense, it's just a 4, not 4/4, or a 2/2, just 4. I don't understand this card, help me.

Sarkhan Vol is a Planeswalker, a card new to Magic with the Lorwyn set. This is how Planeswalkers work:

You play a Planeswalker just like you would play a creature, or an enchantment, or whatever. You pay the mana, and he comes into play. Please note that Planeswalkers ARE NOT creatures. They cannot attack, and they cannot block.

A Planeswalker comes into play with a number of Loyalty counters equal to the number in the bottom right-hand corner (where the power/toughness would be on a creature). Its abilities, the ones with + or - and a number, add or subtract Loyalty counters. You may only play one of a Planeswalker's abilities per turn, and only on your turn, whenever you could play a Sorcery or a creature without Flash.

You may use a Planeswalker ability on the turn it comes into play.

When you use a + ability, you add that many Loyalty counters to the Planeswalker. When you use a - ability, you take that many Loyalty counters off of the Planeswalker. (Note that you must have at least as many Loyalty counters as the - ability asks for to use the ability. You couldn't play Sarkhan Vol and immediately use his -6 ability, for instance.)

When a Planeswalker has 0 Loyalty counters on it, it is put into the graveyard. You may use a - ability that will leave it with 0 counters and kill it that way, but the most common way for a Planeswalker to die is from the opponent.

Whenever an opponent's creature attacks, they must declare whether they are attacking you or your Planeswalker. (And which Planeswalker they will attack, if you have more then one.) Any combat damage that would normally be dealt to you by a creature attacking the Planeswalker (even if it's Trample damage, not just damage from unblocked creatures) is instead subtracted from the Planeswalker's Loyalty counters.

Also, any time an opponent would deal damage to you directly (for instance, with Shock, or Incinerate, or Fodder Launch, etc.), they may redirect that damage to the Planeswalker, subtracting that damage from the Planeswalker's Loyalty counters instead of damaging you.
