BMW R1100S Battery is almost dead...?
If I disconnect it will I have to 'reset' the ABS system when I hook up the new battery?

I think it takes several minutes for the ABS to fault. Should be enough to change the battery. If you do get the fault, there are instructions around the web.
OR you can attach a car battery to your bike with jumper cables while you swap the old for the new. Be careful not to try any arc welding!
