1967 Gt500 Elanor Mustang ?

Okay so i was looking online for a mustang to buy .

I came across a ad that said 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor GT500 Shelby for sale . The price is $5000 Can . I e-mailed the owner and she said shipping and handling is included in the cost . She only wants to make the deal through ebay . Does this seem like a scam ?

She says the car is in perfect shape and is a 6.7 liter v8

Update:

sorry i spelt it wrong eleanor

you never heard of them ? They are just like another brand of mustang , like roush or saleen etc .

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anytime the seller sells something way to good to be true it normally is. They always say there not around and on a work trip and shippings already paid for is so they will ship it to you. They wont give you the vin number or give you a false one, they wont let you see it cause its "locked" in a crate. Again SCAM!! stay away.

Also REPORT them to ebay and get there account banned.

First off the Eleanor Mustang is a GT 500 KR. Dont be fooled many people think they have a GT 500 KR. The engine size should be a 428 cid not sure if it is a cobra jet or a super cobra jet. It sounds like a scam to me the engine alone is worth about 15,000 dollars. And those cars sell for far more than 5,000 we are talking 150,000 very rare car.

The Eleanor mustang is a re-make of the hero-car in Gone in 60 Seconds. The price of the car is way too low in my opinion. There is either a major flaw or it is a scam (Especially since shipping is involved) The engine alone should be worth that much. That car could be worth anywhere from $50,000 to $80,000 depending on the amount of work done.

I would never buy a car sight unseen. Me, I have to touch it , feel it smell it, look under the hood and undercarriage, sight down the bodywork, put magnets on the fenders and look under the carpets and in the ashtrays. and finally drive it.

By the way. I am 63 and was a Senior in high school when the Mustang was unveiled by Ford and have never heard of a Eleanor Mustang. What is that?

Thanx, I just googled it and checked your sites....in the opinion of an old geezer, the sale of fine Shelby Mustang like that would be ten times higher than $5,000....smells like a scam to me. be careful

Eleanor is replica a car off of a movie called Gone In 60 Seconds the cars that are like this are around 100,000-200,000 US it probably does not look like they say it does it may not have a engine or a major problem with it or may be scam or stolen

shipping can cost anywhere from 2.00 a mile up. an eleanor is just a name that some movie producer put on a car for that movie. ripoff artist are cloning the car in hopes of suckering some poor sap into thinking he's buying something special. stay away from it.

They will ask you to send the money first, and you will never see the car..because there isn't one....This is a deal too good to be true....which means it isn't.. Shipping alone from Canada to the states would be 2500.00.....Which would mean getting a car that every young guy in the states would wet their pants over..for 2500.00

I looked at an unrestored 6cyl 67 fastback yesterday for 3000.00.....

"Unrestored" in this case means "engine didn't run, needs paint and upholstery"

This has SCAM all over it. i would report them to e-bay. And why the heck would you think you could buy a $100,000 car for 5 grand. look in the mirror. I think you should see the word S U C K E R written on your forehead.
