Yahoo Messenger Spam?
The spammer was using my friends account to send spam message. I know it because the spam was sent when my friends was actually offline AND we never use english language to chat.
FYI : the spam is in english and using some fake testimonial and a site link.
Is it a new type of spam?
How can I block them?

Start by not having friends who give out their passwords. After that, tell the friend to whose account this happened and have him or her change passwords.
Your friend's account appears to have been hacked and to have used to try to get you to a site that was probably not a good one.
The only way to block the account will also block your friend from contacting you. But beware because the spammers can make something look like something other than what it is. The number 1 in some fonts looks a lot like the letter l which looks like a capitalized letter i ( I ) which can also look like (shift) \ or ( | ).. l, I, and | are three separate and distinct characters.

i'm getting a similar messages. Atleast a million-3 everytime I sign back directly to yahoo messenger. i'm no longer conscious of besides to end it. there might properly be an option to opt for purely to get carry of messages out of your pals. If no longer according to threat this selection would be further in furutre advancements.
