ATWT- getting canceled?

Me too!! I love ATWT it is one of my favorites, I have been a fan for about 13 years. For now I guess it is rumors because ATWT has been renewed for another year, however that really does mean anything. I say that because GL was said to be renewed for another year, but yet they have decided to cancel it. I hear they are shopping both GL and ATWT around trying to find a network that will air both of them. I don't think it will be a problem, we are talking about two of the longest running soaps in daytime history. I love both of these shows and if CBS chooses to let them go, then it's their loss, I will have no more reasons to watch CBS if this happens. I understand that the economy is bad, but these shows are important to a lot of people that have spent years watching them. They are not just shows to the fans, but apparently it is not seen that way.

It's very sad to think that maybe one day we will no longer see the faces that we are used to seeing everyday. Like Jamie mentioned the ratings normally go up in the Summer, so maybe ATWT will be safe. Here is what I don't understand, why don't they try to do more to get the ratings up? Maybe both shows could use new writers. I don't know I am just so annoyed by this, it feels like I am losing old friends. I agree with you though, I hope that a different network picks these shows there are so many more stories to tell....

Edit: If your interested I am attaching a link to the official ATWT fan club, where you can write to your favorite Actors/Actresses and they will send you an autographed picture. I have done this and have gotten 4 or 5 pictures now. It would be nice to have some kind of memories in case they decide to take away our show. It does take sometime, but be patient they will come.

Nothing is set in stone, so I wouldn't get too worried. It is a hard time for all soaps, and ratings normally boost up in the summer. I watch ATWT everyday too, and I will be extremely disappointed if it is canceled. I grew up watching ATWT and GL, and I want to hang onto ATWT for as long as possible.

If it is canceled, I do believe another network will pick it up. It's ratings aren't that horrible.

The rating have been going down for like ever. If their rating don't improve after next year it might be off the air.

Maybe if the ratings go up it wont cancell i really like it

after while, Y&R will be the only Daytime show on CBS...............
