We're actually not sure yet if the show is officially cancelled. Fox has not officially released a statement saying this is so. I believe the reason they left it hanging was to prepare in the event there would indeed be a third season in the works. The only apparent proof that it was cancelled was that their set was torn down, according to sources on the web, however it's entirely plausible why they would tear it down considering the season 2 finale featured John being transported into the future and Sarah left behind in the present to fight off judgment day on her own, so in a way, there was no sense in keeping a set when you have a change in location.

so far this is the latest info as of today

LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) -- "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" isn't being renewed for a third season, sources close to the U.S. sci-fi drama series told EW.com.

"It's done," an insider said. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks."

"Consider it canceled," a second source told the entertainment magazine's Web site Tuesday.

However, one Fox representative insisted that a decision regarding the show's fate hasn't been made yet.

"We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18," the network source said.

It has not been announced by Fox yet, but with the low ratings it's been getting, it looks that way. :( I really hope not, with the new T4 movie coming out, they should renew the season so that people that see the movie will want to watch the show. I think Fox made a big mistake by moving it to Fridays, it was good on Mondays. Fox always does this to shows! I hate it!
