What was the point of the G-20 London Meeting?

I heard someone in my office discussing it, and since I am oblivious to politics, I would like to know.....

    The point was to agree on the method to combat the recession. Obama wanted all of the countries to mimic what Great Britain and the US did which was spend like drunken sailors. None of the other 18 countries agreed with that. Some of the other countries have already restructured their banking systems and have taken other steps. The eventual result may be an international economic regulator with common laws for all members of the G20. That means our Congress would not be able to change the laws regulating economic transactions with other countries. I find that a bit scary.
