Why, in your opinion, do you think NASA named node 3 "Tranquility" and not "Colbert" or "Serenity"?

I'm kind of baffled, I was expecting Colbert or Serenity but certainly not tranquility.... what was Nasa thinking?

Tranquility Base was the name of the Apollo 11 landing site on the moon. Maybe they wanted to remind people of that to get us excited about future space exploration.

I was confused about that as well. Why even bother to let people vote if they're not going to go listen to people and allow their first or even second choice to name the node. It seems like NASA wanted to make people feel like they were involved with the naming but then just name it whatever NASA wanted instead of actually listening to the people.

What I don't understand is, Serenity was one of THEIR suggestions. I never really expected them to name it after Colbert, and I was surprised they even named the treadmill after him, but I thought, hey, at least Serenity is in second place. And then they just throw the entire poll out. Why bother even making one in the first place?

Oh, well, now we can save Serenity for our first manned interplanetary spacecraft. Lulz.

They created a democratic naming process, then weaseled their way out of it when they didn't like the result. I'm angered by their lack of integrity.
