How old are swim suits,really?

Guys have been wearing swim suits for what seems like 100 years or so, I think. Am I right?

    they didn't when there was the first Olympics

    Depends on the culture, for more conservative cultures swim suits have been around for years. For what seems middle of the line, guys often went without them. Laws as we know them today requiring swim suits have only been around since the mid 70's, only about 40 years ago. Before then some popular gyms allowed or even required males to swim nude.
