I am a vegetarian because I don't like animals to be killed.?

I found a farm that will sell me chicken wings. they won't kill the chickens, just cut their wings off. They keep the chickens for laying eggs. Do you think this is okay?

Update:

Sara, chickens can't fly, their wings are useless. And the farm assures me that the wings are surgically removed in a virtually painless procedure.

Update 2:

VeganWytch, I can't believe I would go to hell just because I like spicy hot wings.

Its fine, these people are narrow-minded fanatics. Chickens don't need wings, and they'll kill the chickens eventually to feed people like me.

It is weird though that you don't like animals being killed, but don't mind them being mutilated. If you ever told a meat-eater that you don't agree with them eating meat, they would come down so hard on you for this, it is extremely hypocritical.

I don't care because I don't care about the rights of chickens. I only care about the rights of animals that are endangered, not animals that have been domesticated for 100s of years for the sole purpose to be eaten.

I'm confused. You say you're a vegetarian because you don't approve of animals being killed but you like to eat chicken wings?? (shakes head) This is very strange. If you *really* care about the animals, you will give up your hot wings. I am proud to say that I have never even had hot wings and chicken was the first meat I gave up back in 1998.

Seriously? You don't like animals to be killed but you think it's okay for a chicken to have its wings cut off then kept alive for its eggs? Umm, no I don't think it's okay. It would almost be better to just kill the chicken and put it out of its misery rather than making it live with no wings and used as a slave for its eggs. I don't see how you can possibly think this is okay, and I don't see how these farmers can get away with that.

Cutting the wings off of chickens in my opinion is worse than killing them. They can get infections from having that done to them. They do have wings for a reason.

hmm how long have you been vegetarian? obviously not a compassionate one!!

how would you like it if i cut your arms off? thats cruelty!! i cant believe you would even ask this question!

"virtually painless procedure?" i doubt it. the farmers dont care about the chickens, they are in it for the money.

    dont eat the wings!

You are not vegetarian if you believe that's okay. Vegetarianism isn't a matter of not eating some things, it is a point of view and a way of living. That is not okay and to be honest I can't believe something like that exists.

I never knew this existed. Not only is that sick and twisted, but it's cruel and u have to be a heartless person to even consider doing such a thing. So to answer ur ? no it is not ok at all!!!

I found a wonderful farm that just cuts off troll's fingers and sells them to me. It works out well, since they can't type anymore! Excellent with BBQ sauce, you want the recipe?

Is being a troll like being high all the time?

    That's aweful, I highly doubt that's legal.
