Fantasy Baseball help?

Should i drop Mark McReynolds or Peralta for the struggling Alexei Ramirez on the waiver wire? Why or why not?

Update:

Sorry Reynolds, my bad.

Another factor is i already have Utley.

YES! Pick him up if you can ASAP! He does have the tools to be a solid regular, even though his plate discipline is horrendous. But if he really works hard, he could be a 20/20 guy.

I would keep Peralta, mostly because I don't know of any "Mark McReynolds" (Are you sure his name is spelt right. I'm not an expert, but I don't recognize that name at all). I do know of a Mark Reynolds and if you are talking about him, I would drop him because he can have hot streaks, but also has horrible cold streaks as well. I don't know what the guy before me is talking about. Reynolds has good power and RBI potential, but both Ramirez and Peralta can hit 20 home runs...

God has just sent you a blessing...

EDIT: I would still pick Ramirez up even though you have Utley. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Alexei will gain SS eligibility. If he does, that should solve your problem. But if not, you can use him in a UTIL spot if your league has one, or wait untill Ramirez gets a little better and trade him away to fill another need. If you pick Ramirez up, you have a lot of good options, which is better than being stuck in one spot and not being able to trade or drop out of it.

I would drip Reynolds for Ramirez but not Peralta. It's too early to say any player is having a bad year. But Reynolds just isn't a great hitter. He started the year ranked 21st at 3B. That is a thin position but way too many better players in front of him. Peralta came in ranked 11th but is 3rd ranked now. Ramirez is 8th ranked SS and 6th ranked 2B. He is a keeper. Grab him before someone else does.

i assume u mean mark reynolds, an i would drop him. he hasnt had much big league time and peralta does.

so keep peralta and pick alexei up. not a lot of good 2B out there.

you mean mark reynolds? Does peralta or ramirez give you lineup flexibility? personally I'd keep reynolds (if that's who you are talking about) as he's in a more potent lineup then peralta and gives you more power and rbi potential than ramirez
