My boss who is losing his mind claims Dolly Parton was married to Porter Wagoner back in the day when his variety show was on .I knew he found her and gave her a start but I don't believe they were ever married.

No never! Shes been married to the same guy Carl Dean, since the 60's. Porter helped her get her start and she was on his tv show. They sang several duets and were good friends.

....Dolly and porter were never married.She was the replacement for his girl singer Norma jean.
Dolly showed up and took Nashville by storm under the guidance of Porter.

No they were not married, but they were known for their work together. She was on his show quite a bit and they had a lot of songs together. I don't know if they were ever "together" but they were never married.
