can a realtor come in to your rental home with out notice?

This morning a realtor knocked on my door saying that he was suppose to meet my landlord's realtor at the property to VIEW the properties. The landlord realtor didn't show. So the other realtor knocked on my door and asked if he could view the house. I said no I didn't know anything about it. Wouldn't my landlord have to give me a notice for ANY of this to happen??

I, ofcourse, dont care if they wanted to see it, but a notice would be nice!

BTW, i did know that the property is/has been for sale.

You should be given advance notice of when someone will be entering your home. You are not required to just let anyone at their choosing walk up and show your home. You pay rent at that place for your use and enjoyment.

Realtors can not simply show up at your door any time they chose and show your home.

You and the landlord will have to have a meeting of the minds to make this work, because he probably will not be at each and every showing, and you have your life to live without to much of an interruption on others part.

There is the possibility of a lock box being placed on the door with only real estate agents having the combination. This is common for those selling a house.

You might come to an arrangement with the landlord that certain times you are willing to have real estate agents show the house with prior advanced notice.

So between the you and your landlord you have to come to an agreement that work for the both of you. This might be a stressful time but sane individuals can make some type of an agreement.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

Your landlord must give you at least 24 hours notice that someone will be coming to view the property. You are fully within your rights to refuse access if you have not been properly notified. There are many landlords who have no business renting because they either ignore (thinking their tenants are none the wiser) or they themselves don't even know the laws!

Address this with your landlord ASAP - otherwise, you may come home to people in your house!

On the other end, he does not need to notify you that the building is for sale.

you won't be able to sue effectively, until eventually you could by some ability instruct that the realtor in touch replaced into made conscious of the plausible foreclosure. If the owner did not tell the realtor, the realtor isn't to blame. Do comprehend that the realtor in touch can don't have any knowledge of a pending foreclosure until eventually the lender has really initiated a legal foreclosure procedure, at which era the action will develop into public knowledge by ability of the court docket device. until eventually such action has been inititiated, any 'overdue mission' is exactly own between the lender and the borrower. My wager is that your realtor replaced into merely not conscious of the agency and his overdue funds.
