    Government and politics are two separate things.

    Government is a system of laws, courts, and forces (police, military) designed to protect citizens and their property.

    Politics are social interactions between individuals and groups designed to achieve specific social goals or philosophical objectives.

    I adhere to the philosophy that the government that governs the least, governs the best.

    Centrist: socially liberal, moderate on the economy and foreign policy, and rather "conservative" on issues such as illegal immigration and gun control.
