Can a dog sense things humans can't? Answer please?
yesterday i was in the house just me and my dog was lying down and all of a sudden he got up and turned toward the couch and started growling and barking and was starring like there was something or someone there.Then like a minute later he layed back down, and a couple of minutes went by and he got back up and went to the back of the living room and started growling, starring and doing it again like something was there. This isn't the first time he did this he does it only sometimes late night when every ones asleep you can hear him down stairs growling like someone or something was there.

I am with a paranormal research group in NC called G.P.R.G and, personally, I think that animals CAN sense things that people cannot. I'm not saying that there is anything paranormal in your house that your dog is noticing and you aren't, I'm just saying that it could be a possibility. Other possibilities could be that your dog hears some kind of noise from something in or around your house that you can't hear or that you don't pay attention to and that bothers him enough for him to feel defensive against it.

Sometimes Alzheimer's can set in earlier in life!!! No, he is not detecting anything that is not there, he is however growling that something that YOU cannot hear, a mouse, a rat in the wall, anything that makes noise or produces odor!!

there is a myth that dogs can see ghosts.. but you never know, is might be as simple as there is a rat in your house buggiing him or somthing.. but thats kind of scary?? some dogs do that if they hear somehting that humans cant here, like some ppl talking outside your house, you cant hear that but your dog can... you nevr know..

he could be hearing something outside but they do seem to have a six-sense as it were most likely he is hearing another dog you can't hear
