ACT in April Scores....?
If I got a composite score of 25 without the writing section graded yet, will my score stay the same or increase when the writing is counted. (I took the whole test with writing, but the writing score was not posted online yet.)
Also if I got a 1690 on the SAT, should I choose the SAT or ACT for college admissions? Which do colleges prefer?

You should send both. Your scores are just about even--the 25 is a little higher as it equates to a 1700. But you may have done better on one of the tests on reading and better on another on math. It is usually best to send everything and colleges promise that they will only consider your best scores.
And for your question about which test colleges prefer--most don't have a "preference". However, different colleges have different testing requirements. Many require the SAT and some say you can choose to send the ACT instead. Some require both. And some of the most selective schools require SAT 2 scores as well. If I were you I would start looking into some colleges that you are interested in, and check out their testing requirements to get a better idea. But it is awesome that you have already taken both the SAT and the ACT.
Good luck throughout the whole college admissions process! :)

No, the writing section will not affect your composite score at all.
You should send both.
