Does cocoa powder for baking "go bad"?
I have a container about half-full that I've had for about a year & a half. There is no date on the container and it's been kept air tight and looks & smells fine. Just hate to buy a whole new container for a couple of tablespoons.

I am a former chef and your fine, there is nothing it to go bad, it has been defatted when processing and the alkaline they use to keep it from clumping preserves it, if it is sealed and dry it is fine, you could keep it for a number of years.

If it isn't well sealed it can form a block that can be hard to break up.
It can still be used.
