Why did Confliker Worm scanner from Symantec messed up my PC?
I ran the confliker worm clearer downloaded from Symantec website. It didnt detect any worm but asked that I restart my system, and so I did. Then, my PC fail to boot. It got stuck at the blue windows xp bootscreen. I turn it off and on again, restart under safe mode, failed to boot up too
Finally, I select the boot with last known good setting and it can boot up. I do a system restore to 2 days ago and now everything is fine.
I was wondering if I did something wrong or so? I plan to run that scanner at other PC, but afraid the same issue might happens

i have had trouble using symantec products personaly. the way i check for conficker is either the conficker eye chart (http://www.baylor.edu/its/security/conficker/)
or go to sites like symantec, mcaffee, etc because it wont let you access sites like that anyway
