DIN A4, 280 g/m2, high gloss
paper 2

Firstly , laser printers dont use ink, they use toner (a variety of microscopic particles including wax, styrene and carbon black etc).
I'd be amazed if your laser printer can handle 280g/m2 paper (well - it's card not paper). The 250g/m2 may be ok as long as you set the printer up so that it's aware you are using such heavy stock.
The printer should slow down to reduce the chances of a paper jam, it should also reduce the pressure on the fuser rollers, and may even adjust the temperature of the fuser (ie optimise it for bonding the toner onto thick card).
The paper will have relatively little effect on the amount of toner used. Also, be very careful that the glossy paper you are using is suitable for laser (hot) processes. Often, glossy papers are chemically coated, and are only suitable for cold (ie inkjet) processes.
You could do with telling us what make and model printer you have.

laser printers have a clean-up felt-face bar that scrubs off any unused toner off the image drum. so, for starters you're lowering the lifespan of that scrub bar. until now printed paper could have a curl to it, opportunities of a misfeed. laser prints hassle-free approximately 27 to 50 cents apiece to print. too a lot of people use the place of work laser printer like a printing press while they could produce one grasp reproduction and bypass over to the reproduction gadget.

It depends on what you are printing. Regular printing can be just regular paper, flyers can be any thing you like, photos can be for high gloss, etc.
It depends on the look you want.
