Personally I think he can still fight because he did start MMA a little older than most. I think we need to really just break down the losses.
1. his first lost against Jardine was a very close fight. He lost against someone who was so much well prepared for him. and it was CLOSE
2. His lost against Evans... He was winning the fight. and You could see the TON of respect Evans had for him because he was hoping for a homerun/lucky shot and he got it.
3. Rampage loss he simply got caught but it was more of a flash knock down dont think he took much damage. He lost because of that bad habit he has of leaving his arms by his waist.
4. Shogun out classed him so that was the most legit defeat.
MOst importantly any man would have gone down from the shots he took!! Shogun landed a clean HARD shot, so did Evans, and Rampage.

Sometimes age and the ability to take a punch catches up with them along with the quality of the fighters that are coming up. That is the case here I think. He is a real warrior who helped bring this sport into wider acceptance with the way he fought and carried himself in and out of the ring. Unfortunately while he can still fight I would be surprised if he ever got a title shot or worked himself back into contention for one much less how he would fair in such a match. I hope he moves on to better things that hopefully will give him the same satisfaction that fighting did but the warrior in him may not let go so easily. Only time will tell.

I feel that he should.
Liddell is one of my favorite fighters and he has helped make the sport what it is today, but he as slowed down to much as he has got older and he isn't as effective with his counter punching do to slower hand speed.
I think Liddell, if he still wants to fight and Dana White lets him continue in the UFC, should work on getting a ground game and stand up defense other then stopping the take downs with his sprawl.
Or if he decides to fight in another organization he might be ok due to lack of talent in the smaller shows.

when it comes down to it you don't want to see a great fighter that has brought up a sport retire on a low not like a loss to shogun because shogun is a chump who has fought nothing but old men lately, i.e. liddell, coleman....so let liddell fight again and i'm not saying he needs to fight a nobody, but i think hes got a win left in him and then maybe thats it for him....i mean coutures 45...

Absolutely! He's soon going to be a black eye for MMA if he continues. When he got KTFO by Rashad Evans, he should have retired before he left the ring that night! That was a brutal kayo! No one wants to see Chuck speaking with a slur and drooling.

no with a capital n, yes in a whispered voice. I will still watch him and encourage him staying alive in the UFC, but one more defeat as bad as his last two.....will leave no doubt in anyone's mind he should retire ASAP. As long as he can beat his next (should be) lower leveled fighter at LHW, and he can still do it like he used to, he has no real reason to retire yet, he isn't even 40 yet and look how good Couture did before Lesnar. Thank god he kept UFC 97 semi-worth my money in the end, I wish my 50$ could go directly to him and Shogun alone lol.

Yes he should. He is one of the best MMA fighters of our time, but I think it's time for him to hang up his gloves.
It's too bad... I liked to watch him fight. Chuck is the man. A lot of MMA guys could learn a lot about the way Chuck handled himself inside and outside the cage.

It's tough to say for sure. He should take at least a year off, that's for sure. Maybe come back at heavy, or at Middleweight?
I just can't get excited about another chuck fight right now - he just gets KTFO too often. I'm starting to worry about his health.

yes. after losing to Rua i think it was obvious that his time as a UFC fighter is over.
