1. 14 feet If you read carefully it says at the end of the first year so its already grown for a year. Assuming it grew 2 feet a year at the end of the first year it would be 6 feet tall. Three years later (the end of the 4th year) it would be 12 feet tall, 1 year later it would be 14 feet tall.
2. 9 minutes Think of 20 mph as 1/3 of a mile a minute. The train is a mile long, the tunnel is 2 miles long so the train will have to go a mile after its engine has left the tunnel before its end is out of the tunnel, 3 miles. The train is moving at 1 mile every 3 minutes, 9 minutes.
3. 130 pounds Assuming that the boxes are filled with the same things so that the large box will always be heavier than the medium box and the medium box will always be heavier than the small box the only weights that would equal the totals said above would make small=9lbs medium=11lbs and large=13lbs. Add em all up and you've got 130 lbs
4. 6 purely a guess, two lines going horizontally through the circle the other 3 going vertically to intersect 6 times.
