The best mop for hardwood floors is the Bona. It is a mop with two pads , one to wie away dust and another to clean the floors with their cleaning solution. It's not a swiffer and its way better. I suggest using that because its a wonderful product. The swiffer can leave streaks and even drip to give your floors nice puddles... here a great article to use as a reference, and the other link below is where to find great cleaning products for all types of flooring.

I recommend Bona Products to clean your wood floor. Oil or wax in it is NOT a good choice. Wax and oil will actually hold onto the dirt, and then when you step on it, it will scratch the surface. Also, if you use a wax or oil (like Murphy's oil soap), it eliminates the ability to buff and coat your floor--a full refinish would be required, because the finish won't adhere and will peel off. Vinegar and all-purpose cleaners will dull the finish over time.

It really depends on the protective surface applied, and the maintenance you have attributed.

The truth is that No-One can answer this question properly without being told whats there.
