What is it called or articles need about: Energy being left behind after a negative event etc...?
So I am having this debate with someone I know.
I want to say something about energy but need to find an article to back me up or at least think of the appropriate search terms.
I am wanting to talk about the energy that is left behind in a space after a negative event. So say if you go to an old concentration camp and it feels just sick being there. Or even Ground Zero. Also I think I read a scientific article about the energy humans leave behind. Any information on these topics would be helpful. TIA.

I think you are looking for the term "residual energy". Here are some sites that might help:

I tried looking into some old questions for some links about the human body and energy but couldn't find what I was looking for. We have some open minded people here who will actually provide you with links on the scientific studies done on the human body and energy. I am sure they will come by and hopefully soon.

Well, first of all, there is no such thing as "negative" energy. Second of all, energy has a way of just dispersing unless its being held by something, for example, a capacitor. Any 'energy' from ground zero or concentration camps would be gone a long time ago. If you felt an icky feeling, it would be from your own mind, not any external energy. Memories of seeing people dieing on the news, or movies about the holocaust are triggered, and being there makes them all the more real. This is what causes the sick feeling.
I am sorry if thats not what you wanted for an answer.
edit: Just to clarify, Gary is correct that energy is a measure of the ability to do work. I am actually talking about energy sources, like electricity and heat.
I hope this is helpful for you, even if you lose the debate, sometimes that is how we learn new things.

People don't leave behind energy, if you went to a concentration camp and was told it was an old ice cream factory you would wouldn't have any bad feelings, it's just imagination.

ho-hum...
You're not going to win this debate, not in a scientific sense.
Energy is not left behind. Energy is a MEASUREMENT of something's ability to do work. E= mc2.
Energy is an attribute of something - it does not exist in some pure state.
