actually i haven't found an increase in distance from old to new. i have a ti-tec driver i got a walmart replaced the shaft when it broke hit 320yd. i have wilson tour maxx driver same distance, tried cobra same, r7 same, nike sumo same. so if shaft is the same club head similar i haven't seen the advantage of spending $ on the latest/greatest driver!

I had a cheap aluminum driver that came with the $150 set of clubs from sports authority (I needed clubs cheap). I replaced it with a Nike Ignite 410 a few years ago and gained at least 30 yards easily. I averaged 230 with the old one. Now it's around 270 (but my technique/strength is better too).
