Currently only the Windows OS is supported by the VBALink program. I am not aware of a link program for Mac OSX.
vbalink.info is the best source for more information there.
I have not personally used it, as I got out of emulation a few years ago, but I have heard good things about it.

as long as your using the same emulator there should be options in your menu for a wan game or lan
