Where can I buy a good "search and rescue" dog?

Where can I get a VERY well trained dog that is ready to find anything I ask him to?

Not very likely that you would find one which would immediately respond to you.

Your best bet would be to train up a puppy whilst training yourself how to handle one, certain breeds make better search and rescue dogs, ie labradors, collies, german shepherds and many more.

They do not come "ready made".

Even if by some chance you were to find a dog that came already trained, training is something that must be continued. You would be surprised how quick a well trained dog will forget all of his training if it is not being reinforced.

You don't buy a SAR dog, you train them. Get a dog and train them for SAR work. Any dog can be train for it, but the best dogs for it are the ones with good noses like scenthounds/gun dogs/shepherds.
