is it wrong to value a dogs life more than a humans?

say my dog was caught in a fire in an apartment with a stranger I dont know. i have one thing to rescue and i rescue my dog rather than the stranger? is this really wrong? i love my dog more than people it seems. humans are the worst species on earth. the things we do to each other and on top of that we kill many animals yearly for "sport" is it wrong to think your dog is more important than a humans life? dogs to me are innocent beings while humans cause so many tragedies in our world. what do u think?

That's a good question bro that i can't answer. It really in your heart and if you love animals more than humans that's your opinion and no one can take that anyway from you.

Well I know alot of people who would choose to save their own dog over a complete stranger, mainly because there are emotional ties between the person and the animal. It's not wrong to want to save something you are more emotionally connected to, though alot of people would argue otherwise. The whole topic changes however, if you were talking about any random dog verses a human being. If you were to save a dog's life over a person, It would be pretty wrong considering the fact you would be saving it for the fact that it was a dog and the fact you think 'humans are the worst species on earth'. Not everyone is horrible, and you have to remember here that you are also human. You also have to take it into consideration that dogs don't live longer than humans, and although the dog may be missed by it's owners, the human's family, spouses, and loved ones would be affected for the rest of their lives. Your whole option would also change if the human being was either a complete saint or a criminal. Personally, if the person was a child rapist, I'd probably save the dog over the human. If the person was president Obama or the pope, I'd save the man over the dog. In your case though, with the dog being your dog and the human being just a random stranger, I see nothing wrong or 'evil' in choosing your dog over a human being. Pets, after all, are a part of the family.

I would save my dog over the stranger because your dog will be loyal until it passes the stranger wont though it isnt a bad thing to trust humans as well. Hunters(like myself) hunt animals for sport because it is a hobby and without it they would become overpopulated. For example the deer would eat everything from eye level and down thus leaving nothing for the smaller species.

I would rescue my dog first too. When we adopt dogs, they become part of our family and we make up their pack. If they're loyal to us, it makes sense for us to be loyal to them. My dog will always be my top priority because I am his guardian.

So in other words, you could say there was a family member and a stranger in the apartment. It makes sense to rescue the one you love because the pain and guilt of losing them would be so much worse.

And if you want to get technical, the fire department would first pay attention to the person so the dog's better off with you anyway. :)

It's wrong if you rescue an aggressive, vicious, rabid dog instead of a let's say, the president (LOL).

It's wrong to rescue a criminal instead of an innocent puppy.

It just depends on the person and the dog. And you are very stereotypical against your own race.

Gosh!!! that's a tough one!, if I had to chose between my child and the dog, sadly I think I would try to rescue my child (probably both at the same time), if its a stranger... so sorry... but I think my dog is first.

Don't feel too bad, I bet a lot of people feel like both of us.

yes humans definitely are the worst species on earth cause i mean if dogs ran the world they would totally have homeless shelters and help the weak, oh wait no they wouldn't they would eat the weak and the world would smell like a homeless shelter, god your dumb the reason humans do what they do is called emotional intelligence dogs would to if they were half as intelligent as humans just cause some people hunt doesn't mean that that all of humanity are worse than dogs. BLAM! check yo self batch

It's not wrong of you to think that at all, in fact, I feel the same way. What you stated about humans is exactly how I feel as well. I've talked to other people who feel the same as well, and they stated their dogs could understand and read their feelings better than most of their friends. My dog is very similar in the way that she knows when I'm sad and will try to cheer me up, she knows when I'll be leaving home for a time, etc.

It's completely understandable to think that way, especially since others feel the same way about it.

I love my puppy way more then strangers and even more then a lot of people I know.. He is like my child. I feel bad for people who don't have that feeling.. I think it depends on the circumstance. I don't think it is wrong of u to pick your dog. I love mine so much. He is my pride and joy.

Think about it this way too.. No one would ever know that we picked our dog/kid.. HAHA!

I think you did the right thing, your dog has been loyal to you. People may say that people are irreplaceable, but the same goes for animals.

Dogs are always there when you cry, laugh or just need someone to talk to that won't interupt you. I would defintly choose my pup! :)
